About The Boathouse Fisheries
The Boathouse fisheries opened its doors in November 2018 by Cieron and Richard who after 23 years and 13 years respectively as Fishmongers at Griggs of Hythe decided to tread their own path. With their extensive knowledge and great reputation, it wasn’t long before word got around about an exciting new traditional Fishmongers in the quaint seaside village of St Mary’s bay. What Cieron doesn’t know about fish, where to source the best quality and how to prepare it really isn’t worth knowing and therefore heads up our wholesale department. Richard specialises in the retail side of the business here at the Boathouse, displaying our counters beautifully with the freshest quality fish at affordable prices and offers a cheeky but friendly welcome too. In May 2019 we welcomed Chef Emma to the team. Emma heads up our little Bistro, preparing delicious fish dishes for all the family to eat in or take away. Our Boathouse ready meals and deli range are also hand prepared by Emma daily with her infamous fresh bread also often available.
